Here are a few things the functions might do:
· Manage the department’s timetable for business planning and budget, in line with commitments for Cabinet Office and Treasury
· Prepare the department’s “single departmental plan” (https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/single-departmental-plans-for-2015-to-2020)
· Prepare agreement of corporate (department level) priorities
· Prepare the annual corporate business plan and manage the process for reviewing it
· Coordinate lower level business plans across the department (eg identifying gaps/overlaps)
· Lead/coordiante/develop the department’s performance reporting (ie reporting performance against KPIs)
· Prepare the performance section of the department’s Annual Report
