Hi, I'm Richard.

I help people, teams and organisations to realise more of their potential.

I'm currently based in the UK, where I'm chief of staff for the Academic & Government group at Elsevier (a global leader in information and data analytics), helping academic and government communities advance knowledge.

I also chair the board of trustees of Cambridge Curiosity & Imagination, an award-winning arts and wellbeing charity that helps children and young people and their communities to thrive.

I’ve been leading people and teams for over 20 years. My career journey is unusual. I started as a teacher: I taught English in France, and French in England. I worked in the UK Parliament, I was a diplomat in Brussels, I worked in the senior civil service as Strategy Director for a UK government department, and I specialise in helping technology/product organisations to develop. I've worked with boards and executive teams in the charity, public, and private sectors (FTSE 100).

I'm a qualified programme manager, management accountant and coach, and I'm training to be a Somatic Experiencing practitioner. You can find out more about me here.

This is my personal account. I mainly write about getting from A to B, inclusion, teams, and digital product stuff.
