Hi, I'm Richard.
I help people, teams and organisations to realise more of their potential.
I'm currently based in the UK, where I'm chief of staff for the Academic & Government group at Elsevier (a global leader in information and data analytics), where we help academic and government communities advance knowledge.
I'm also a trustee of Cambridge Curiosity & Imagination, an award-winning arts and wellbeing charity that helps children and young people and their communities to thrive.
I’ve been leading people and teams for 25 years. My career journey is unusual. I started as a teacher: I taught English in France, and then French in England. I worked in the UK Parliament, I was a diplomat in Brussels, I worked in the senior civil service as Strategy Director for a UK government department, and I then specialised in helping technology/product organisations to develop. I've worked with boards and executive teams in the charity, public, and private sectors (FTSE Top 10).
I'm a qualified programme manager, management accountant, coach, facilitator, and Somatic Experiencing practitioner. You can find out more about me here.
This is my personal account. I mainly write about getting from A to B, inclusion, teams, and digital product stuff.
